    Why is mold testing done?

Mold testing, often known as a mold swab, is one method of determining the type of mold present. When there is visible mold, this is usually required. This method of testing does not reveal mold spore levels or whether they are present in the air.

You don’t need to know what type of mold is present in Canada’s legislation; industry guidelines require that the area be cleaned and the mold be removed. Some molds are safe to remove on your own, but we recommend that homeowners contact a professional mold treatment firm first.

    Dangerous toxic molds

Molds come in a variety of forms, some of which are dangerous and others that are not. The ones that are hazardous are known as mycotoxins, and they can cause health problems. Penicillium, Aspergillus, Cladosporium, and Alternaria are the most frequent molds discovered in your home.

Stachybotrys, often known as black mold, is the most deadly mold to have in your home. It should be observed that mold will eventually turn black in color. It must be checked to see if it is Stachybotrys. If you suspect or find mold, you must do an inspection regardless of what type of mold is present.

    Mold growth

Mold spores do not become mold growth until they are given the proper habitat to grow in, which includes a growing surface, “food,” and water. Mold forms when these three substances are together. This is why it’s critical to maintain proper humidity levels in your home (35 to 45 percent relative) and keep an eye out for any signs of water damage or leaks.

Stachybotrys, often known as black mold, require persistent moisture/water to thrive and are prevalent after large water damage that has not been properly addressed.

    What is Air Quality Testing?

Air Quality Testing or Indoor Air Quality Testing is a procedure for determining the quality of air in a given setting. It’s becoming increasingly common in residential properties, both for landlords and tenants, as well as in real estate when selling or purchasing a home. An air quality test will be conducted in commercial and industrial facilities to guarantee that employees are working in a safe atmosphere.

Air testing is used to detect contaminants such as carbon dioxide, poisonous vapors, dust, fungus, and ozone in the air. Mold is the most often tested contaminant. Air testing is useful because it separates the type of mold particles and their particular spore levels, which is significant.
